Evangelist Chalk was born and raised in Malaga, New Jersey. She attended schools in surrounding areas and graduated from Delsea Regional High in 1967. Evangelist Chalk has two sons, Elder Craig Chalk and Shawn Chalk. She is also blessed with two grandchildren, Taalib and Neisha.
Evangelist Chalk became a member of Tabernacle of Faith Church in 1976 in Deptford, New Jersey upon its establishment. Her service to the ministry began under the leadership of Pastor Elvin Ezekiel. She became a faithful member and served proudly on the Usher Board and Choir. Evangelist Chalk was familiar with the Ministry of Prayer when Pastor Ezekiel started the 7:00 pm prayer meetings in Deptford. She learned the importance of Prayer Ministry under Dr. Marlene Talley at the Garden of Prayer, World Prayer Center, COGIC. She was elevated to the position of Evangelist under Dr. Talley.
Evangelist Chalk remained consistent in serving when the Tabernacle of Faith moved to Camden New Jersey. When Bishop Hillmon Moses accepted the mantle of pastoring the Tabernacle of Faith in 1994, Evangelist Chalk would oversee the noonday prayer altar on Mondays and
Wednesdays and did so for numerous years. She was also a speaker for 8:00 am services and served on the Trustee Board for about 15 years.
Evangelist Chalk served as a Pastor’s Aide under the leadership of Bishop Curly Guidry and Supervisor Deborah R. Kitchen. She continued serving as a Pastor’s Aide under Bishop Hillmon Moses and for a short time under Bishop Tyrone W. McCombs until retiring from that position.
