Marvin Lightbourne became a member of Tabernacle of Faith Church COGIC in 2007 and previously served as a Sunday School teacher. He was ordained as a deacon in 2010 under the leadership of the late Bishop Hillmon Moses. Deacon Lightbourne's proudest moment was accepting Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. He credits his parents with leading him to Christ as a young child growing up in Nassau, Bahamas.
Deacon Lightbourne is a true worshiper, a dedicated husband to his wife, Tameka, and devoted father to two sons, Marvin and Aaron. In his spare time, he enjoys reading God's word, spending time with family and friends, photography and coaching his son's basketball team. He loves talking to people and is known for his warm and loving smile and hearty hugs and handshakes. He stays grounded in the words of his favorite scripture Luke 18:1 "Men ought always to pray, and not to faint".
