Lady Katrina's life is a living example of this scripture.
Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Lady Katrina accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal savior at the tender age of 7. She was baptized and received her Christian foundation at Antioch Baptist Church in Camden, NJ, where she served as a member of the Junior Choir, Junior Usher Board, and Sunday School secretary.
Lady Katrina has been a member of the Tabernacle of Faith for the past 22 years, where she has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Praise & Worship Leader and Choir member. It is under the leadership of the late Bishop Hillmon Moses that she received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and was introduced to the power of prayer and intercession on the Noonday Altar.
Currently Lady Katrina serves as First Lady of the South Jersey Jurisdiction COGIC, where her husband of 20 years, Bishop Tyrone W. McCombs is the Jurisdictional Prelate. Together, they have two beautiful daughters--Tyra Faith and Nia Hope McCombs.
Lady Katrina was educated in the Camden Public School System and graduated with honors from Camden High School in 1987. Katrina continued her educational studies at the following institutions of higher learning: Lehigh University (BA in Behavioral and Neurosciences); Teachers College, Columbia University (MA and MEd. in Psychological Counseling); and Rutgers University (MPA in Educational Leadership).
In addition to serving the Lord, Lady Katrina is a public servant in the field of Public education. Lady Katrina has served in several capacities in the Camden City School District throughout her 23 year tenure including: Kindergarten Teacher, 7th/8th Grade Literacy Teacher, Comer Whole School Reform Facilitator, Literacy Coach, Vice-Principal and Principal of Lanning Square Family School and Director of Early Childhood Education. Currently, she serves the Camden City School District as the Deputy Superintendent of Schools.
